The White Pass School District and WLK Joint Venture are requesting bids for Additions and Modernizations to White Pass Elementary School in Randle, WA.

Sealed bids will be received for the following bid packages until 10:00 AM PDT on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 a t the specified bid drop off locations listed below. All properly delivered bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at 1:00 PM PDT at the White Pass School District the same day. Bids that are incomplete will be rejected. Bids received after 10:00 AM PDT will be returned unopened.

Bid documents will be available beginning June 15, 2010 and may be obtained from Walker Construction, Inc. Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, 509-535-3354. A refundable deposit of $300.00 is required for each set of bid documents. Documents must be returned in good condition within seven (7) days of the bid opening to obtain a deposit refund. Deposit checks shall be made payable to WLK Joint Venture.

Mandatory 12% apprentice labor hours of the total labor hours are a requirement of the construction contract. Bidders may contact the Department of Labor & Industries, Apprenticeship Section, to obtain information on available apprenticeship programs.

The White Pass School District and WLK Joint Venture reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids.

Notice is here provided that WLK Joint Venture intends to bid on bid packages 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 14, 16, and 35. Bids for these packages will be opened by the White Pass School District.

Prices for Bid Packages shall be held for 60 days.
