The Wellpinit School District and WLK Joint Venture are requesting bids for Wellpinit High / Middle School Modernization in Wellpinit, WA.
Sealed bids will be received for the following bid packages until 1:00 PM PDT on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the specific bid drop off locations listed below. All properly delivered bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at 3:00 PM PDT at the Wellpinit School District the same day. Bids that are incomplete will be rejected and labeled non-responsive. Sealed Bids received after 1:00 PM PDT will be returned unopened.

Bid Documents will be available immediately and may be obtained from Leone & Keeble, Inc and Walker Construction, Inc Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, (509) 327-4451 or (509) 535-3354. A refundable deposit of $250.00 is required for each set of bid documents. Documents must be returned in good condition within seven (7) days of the bid opening to obtain a deposit refund. Deposit checks shall be made payable to WLK Joint Venture, PO Box 2785, Spokane, WA 99220.
Bid Documents may be examined at:
“State Apprenticeship Utilization Required. 15% apprentice labor hours of the total hours are a requirement of the construction contract. Adjustments to these requirements are allowed under specific conditions as defined by Department of Labor & Industries. Bidders may contact the Department of Labor & Industries, Apprenticeship Section, to obtain information on available apprenticeship programs.”
All Bidders must comply with the Spokane Tribal Employment Rights Office requirements. As a clarification to the form of bid and bidding, bids shall not include TERO fees, or percentages of the bid amount. The Owner will pay the TERO Fees directly to the Spokane Tribe TERO office.
The Wellpinit School District and WLK Joint Venture reserve the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities or irregularities in the bids.
Prices for Bid Packages shall be held for 90 days. Alternate bid pricing shall be held for 120 days.
Notice is here provided that WLK Joint Venture intends to bid on the following bid packages: #1,
#5, #12, #13, #15, #19, #20, #27 and #35. Bids for these packages will not be opened by WLK
Joint Venture but will be opened by the owner’s project manager at the above time and location.

All bidders interested in bidding the project are encouraged to attend a voluntary Pre-Bid Conference and walk-through on August 17, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the project site in Wellpinit, WA in order to familiarize themselves with the project.
Bidders wanting to inspect the project site at a time other than the voluntary walk-through date must contact Tom Mercer at (509) 327-4451, 24 hours prior to visiting the site.
No bidder may withdraw its bid after the time set for opening thereof, unless the bid award is delayed for a period exceeding 90 calendar days.
